Sony and Prime Video Introduce Stream in India

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has entered a distribution agreement with Prime Video India to launch a new over-the-top (OTT) service called Sony Pictures – Stream on Prime Video Channels. The service is curated for Indian customers and offers a vast repertoire of entertainment including SPE’s blockbuster movies, timeless classics and highly popular TV shows .

What is Sony Pictures – Stream?

Sony Pictures – Stream is an add-on subscription service that allows Prime members to access SPE’s content library on Prime Video Channels. The service is available at an introductory annual subscription of Rs 399 . Customers can enjoy an extensive slate of multi-genre content offerings including blockbusters, dramas, comedies, thrillers, classics and much more .

Some of the movies available on Sony Pictures – Stream include Charlie’s Angels, Men in Black, Peter Rabbit, Ghostbusters, Jerry Maguire, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Taxi Driver, A Few Good Men, Legends of the Fall, Spotlight, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Terminator, Groundhog Day, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Step Mom, Book of Eli, Seven Pounds, Legend of Zorro, Anaconda and Evil Dead. The service also offers popular TV shows such as Breaking Bad, Community, The Crown, Outlander and Seinfeld.

Additionally, in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Columbia Pictures, a part of SPE, Sony Pictures – Stream spotlights the studio’s history and incredible film legacy by offering customers an array of films from the studio’s beloved vault spanning the decades. The service also includes content from SonyLIV and Crunchyroll India.

Why did Sony Pictures and Prime Video launch Stream in India?

The launch of Sony Pictures – Stream is part of SPE’s strategy to expand its digital footprint in India and reach a wider audience across the country.
