Uno Minda Initiates Construction of Alloy-Wheel Plant in Haryana

Marking a significant stride toward continued growth, Indian auto component leader Uno Minda announced the commencement of construction work on a brand new alloy wheel plant in Haryana on Wednesday. Strategically located at IMT Kharkhoda, the state-of-the-art facility represents a substantial investment of ₹542 crore by the company.

Boosting Production for the Passenger Vehicle Market

Designed specifically for passenger vehicles, the upcoming plant boasts an impressive projected production capacity of 1.2 lakh wheels per month upon completion. Uno Minda plans to adopt a phased approach to construction, with the first phase anticipated to be operational by the second quarter of FY26. This strategic rollout will ensure a smoother transition and minimize disruption to ongoing operations.

Alloy Wheel Plant Forms Cornerstone of Uno Minda’s Expansion Strategy

Nirmal K Minda, Group CMD of Uno Minda, emphasized the new plant’s role as a cornerstone of the company’s well-defined expansion plan, meticulously crafted to propel Uno Minda’s future growth. To accommodate this ambitious project, Uno Minda secured a land parcel spanning 94.32 acres at IMT Kharkhoda, with roughly 25 acres designated specifically for the greenfield alloy wheel plant.
