BEL Secures Orders Valued at ₹1,034.31 Crore: A Significant Achievement

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has announced that it has received orders worth ₹1,034.31 crore in the month of January 2024. These orders include a major order from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd for supply of spares related to the missile systems, as well as additional orders for defence equipment from various customers.

Missile Systems Spares Order

BEL has received an order valued at ₹695 crore from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd for supply of spares related to the missile systems. This order is part of the ongoing project of supplying missile systems for the Indian Navy’s stealth frigates. BEL is the lead integrator of the missile systems, which include surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, and torpedoes.

Additional Defence Equipment Orders

BEL has also received additional orders worth ₹339.31 crore since the last disclosure on 26th Dec 2023. These orders pertain to Combat Management System, Composite Communication System, Transmit / Receive Modules, Mobile Autonomous Stabilization System and other spares / services. These orders reflect the trust and confidence of the customers in BEL’s products and services.

Impressive Order Book

With the above orders, BEL has received cumulative orders of ₹27,647.31 crore in the current financial year. This is a significant achievement for the company, which has been consistently delivering high-quality electronic equipment and systems for the defence sector as well as non-defence markets. The company’s shares have generated a remarkable return of over 300% to its shareholders in the past three years.
